I have more to say about Dahab. More to say about all of Egypt. More to say about Israel, even.
But what I'm thinking about now is this:
In Egypt, people smiled too much, and in Israel, people don't smile enough.
There were exceptions, of course. But it blows my mind that I came back to Eilat feeling completely differently than the way I felt last time I was there - feeling more positive - and trying to keep stereotypes and expectations out of my mind. But it's the same. I smile and people rarely smile back.

I just talked about myself. Now talk about yourself.
